Our Vietnamese-style dipping sauce uses ingredients that you probably already have at home. The sweet flavor pairs perfectly with noodles, rice paper rolls, and vegetable dishes. It can work as a base for so many peanut-centric dishes (I'm looking at you, peanut noodles). I grew up with this as a staple in my household, and I'm so excited to share this quick and easy recipe with you.

Creamy Peanut Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 3 tbsp smooth peanut butter

  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce

  • 1 tbsp sriracha or sambal oelek

  • 1 tbsp sugar (add more for sweeter sauce)

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a small saucepan.

  2. Turn heat onto low and mix until all ingredients are combined and sauce has smooth consistency. If texture is too thick, add extra water 1 tbsp at a time. If mixture is too runny, add peanut butter 1 tbsp at a time.

  3. After everything has been incorporated into a smooth sauce, pour into a small bowl and enjoy with spring rolls.

This dipping sauce pairs perfectly with our lemongrass tofu spring roll recipe.
